- Security enhancement for HTTPS
The default SSL server connection is configured to disallow SSL version 3.0 and to use in preference order TLS 1.2 or 1.1 instead.
This avoids the SSL version 3.0 vulnerability that allows the plaintext of secure connections to be calculated by a network attacker
(a.k.a. "Poodle" vulnerability).
- Enhanced security for encrypted connections
The secure SSL connections now supports connections using SHA-2 cipher suites (using TLS version 1.2 only).
- Certificate wizard now supports certificates using SHA-2 or better
Added support for SHA-224 (only in Java 8), SHA-256, SHA-384 and SHA-512 signed certificates in the certificate wizard.
